Dr was very empathetic, put me totally at ease. Explained what was happening to me, I felt safe and treated as a person and not just a number!

My procedure caused me a great deal of anxiety and apprehension, with this in mind my experience was as nice as it could be. I was treated with kindness and sensitivity, I felt everything was explained to me in a pace that helped me understand and I had plenty of opportunity to ask any questions.

I’ve just had a Full Hip replacement and Dr. Uncles was my Anaesthetist. I was very apprehensive about the operation and, more especially the Epidural type of anaesthetic to be used. Dr. Uncle took a good deal of time to explain how this type of procedure works and was very reassuring. Having come out the other side, he was exactly right in his appraisal and, I would recommend not only him but, this type of anaesthetic to anyone having Hip Surgery. The recovery was incredible and I was back in my room and awake in no time at all. A big THANK YOU to David and Karen.

David Uncles has been involved in helping me with an ongoing allergy to all muscle relaxants in anaesthetic. He has been amazing, informative and has gone above and beyond in his quest to help me. I owe my life to him,as he pursued alternative anaesthetic methods resulting in a gastric bypass in 2019 following severe health issues. Recently also he appeared as a trusted doctor in an emergency surgery for a kidney stent. He is so reassuring and such a calming and gentle man, immediately putting patients at ease with his expertise and friendliness. I consider myself so lucky to have been under his care. A very special man/ Doctor!

During my first child birth a doctor failed my epidural causing severe headaches and discomfort afterwards, DR uncles took over and cared for me and was the decision maker on how to help me recover quickly after the first doctor failed the epidural. I highly recommend doctor uncles, his calm manner, making me feel at ease and very reassuring. Doctor uncles made sure I was treated well and ensured everything was ruled out to help me recover so I was able to get home to my newborn baby, although I didn’t have a great start to motherhood with being so poorly, doctor uncles made me feel much better not just physically but mentally to. Doctor uncles really did go above and beyond to help me recover and I’m very thankful for everything he done! I’m sure he won’t be able to forget me, thanks again doctor uncles!!!

Profile

I am a specialist Anaesthetist with interests in Obstetric, Ambulatory and Inpatient anaesthesia. I employ a variety of anaesthetic techniques including general or regional anaesthesia, although I often use them in combination to optimise and enhance patients' peri and post-operative experience.
I am dedicated to putting the patient first through the provision of safe and reassuring care delivered in conjunction with my colleagues and associates.
I was present at the inauguration of the Helsinki Declaration in June 2010. This enshrines the values essential to the promotion of the highest professional and safety standards expected of anaesthetists. It is my hope to match or even exceed the expectations of patients who place their trust in me.
